Fanxipan Mountain

Fanxipan is the highest mountain in Vietnam and Indochina, its peak reaches 3143 m high, locates in the national nature reserve of Hoang Lien Son. The ascent normally requires three days and two nights for groups of no more than 7 or 8 climbers.

Fanxipan mountain was discovered by biologist Delacour in 1929, the man who gave his name to the race of lemurs that live in Van Long Nature Reserve near Ninh Binh. Delacour lemur is protected as endangered species.


There are three different routes to reach the top. At top, a triangle of steel, the sign of victory is placed on a carpet of wild grass. On the way to conquer the Fanxipan you will have a chance to discover the biodiversity with the black gibbon, leopard white, 150 bird species, of dwarf bamboo and many species of rhododendrons and orchids. You will camp and sleep in tents.
